I am sorry to hear about Pursi. I would recommend finding a veterinarian in the area you are traveling to examine him. Urinating blood can be caused by a variety of issues including urinary tract infection, bladder stones, bladder tumors, prostatic issues in male dogs, trauma, bleeding disorders, and more. An examination is needed to determine the underlying cause and start treatment. Testing the urine and an x-ray may be recommended to find the cause of the blood in the urine. If Pursi becomes lethargic, starts vomiting, or is unable to urinate then this would be considered a medical emergency and urgent care should be sought.
