My 11-week puppy has a lump on genitals. Is a vet visit urgent?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 27 days old | 12 lbs

Our 11 week puppy has a lump on the side of his genitals. He has not showed any signs of discomfort or lack of energy. Does this require immediate medical attention? We have an appointment for his final round of shots in a week.

I would not be immediately concerned but would continue to watch for any changes. This does just look like a small pimple or blocked oil gland but continue to monitor for any signs of infection such as heat, redness or pain which would indicate a sooner visit may be required.
