My budgie is sleeping a lot and making creaking breathing sounds. Help!

Question

I have had a young budgie for a month. He was fine at first but this last week he has started sleeping a lot and now making little creaking noises when breathing. What can I do? Pet's info: Bird | Parrot | Male

Thanks for reaching out about Indigo. This sounds like it could be a respiratory infection. Providing supplemental heat in the 80-85 F range can improve the immune system but a veterinary visit is recommended for diagnostic/treatment plans. Hopefully is bacterial and antibiotics will resolve the issue. Good luck.
