Can dog constipation cause back leg dragging? My Dachshund has it.

Can constipation cause the back legs to drag a little? I have a daxie.

Yes, constipation can cause discomfort and pressure to the nerves causing awkward gait but likewise spinal nerve compression can lead to poor bowel movement and constipation. I recommend you have him checked by a vet as soon as possible and prevent any slips/falls/jumps/stairs etc in the meantime as a precaution
