Portifoy has been diagnosed with deep ulcerative dermatitis. He received a Convenia injection, was given steroids to take at home, and had bloodwork done. The bloodwork came back normal, and I am scheduling a biopsy to confirm the diagnosis and also getting a urine sample to bring in. The issue is that his breathing is deep and heavy (not panting though) and he's spending his days bunched in a ball in his litter box or acting erratic. I left a message for his vet, but they have not gotten back.

Poor little guy! Occasionally deep dermatitis can be a symptom of a chest tumour, or he may have a severe infection and fever. Given the discomfort he is showing I would try and arrange an urgent appointment for him
