My chihuahua sprayed with asthma inhaler in mouth. Is he okay?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 5 months old | 8 lbs

I have a chihuahua 2 years old and my grandson took his asthma inhaler and sprayed my Chihuahua in the mouth with it will my little guy be okay

If it was just one puff, he should be fine. If it was a rescue inhaler (albuterol) he may be a little jittery and or have a high heart rate for a short bit, but he should be fine. If it was a steroid inhaler, 1 puff is not going to hurt him. Thank you for asking Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
