My cat has severe diarrhea & is suddenly skin and bones. Help!

Question

My cat seemed perfectly fine up until today...His back legs are soaking wet, he has very bad diarrhea, and he feels like he has no weight on him anymore, just fur, skin and bones. Could someone please help? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 2 months old | 7 lbs

Poor Chicken! It sounds like he is very ill and you need to get him in to see a vet. Over what period did he become “skin and bones?” While the diarrhea could be very sudden, extreme weight loss doesn’t happen overnight. You can post again with a specific question and more info and we can try to help, but it the diarrhea is very severe and he seems extremely sick, you need to get him for a vet... there is no at home treatment that would be effective for the degree of illness you are describing. I hope he gets better soon, best of luck.
