My puppy hasn't pooped since spay surgery and is in pain. Emergency?

My puppy was spayed Monday and has not pooped since and it is Thursday. She is acting like there is pain in her anus and cries. She is on pain med for spay. One small dry pebble sized stool passed yesterday and it appears there is other not coming out (we tried). Is this an emergency? Tried pumpkin, olive oil and yogurt. Pet's info: Dog | Papillon | Female | 9 months and 8 days old | 2.3 lbs

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question. Poor Lemon Drop! Given that she has not pooped in four days, I do think it's best she sees a vet immediately. I would take her into a vet now. Best of luck.
