My senior Boston Terrier is breathing fast and wheezing. What's wrong?

Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | neutered | 36 lbs

Hello! I have a Boston terrier that is 12 years old and he’s breathing really fast and sometimes wheezing. I was wondering if it is because he’s on the older side, or if it’s because he ate something that’s bad. He is eating and drinking.

It could be Mick has a respiratory infection or he could have heart disease. Unfortunately heart disease can be common in senior dogs. I would take him into the vet first thing in the morning for a health check. Best of luck.
