Why are my bird's feathers ruffled, dull, matted, or falling out?

Pet's info: Bird | Parakeet | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 3 months old | 0.45 lbs

Ruffled or fluffed feathers Lost, misshaped, or broken feathers Decreased preening Wet, stained, or matted feathers on the head, vent, or other area Dull feathers Long or excessive molt, bald spots Pulling or picking at feathers Abnormal color or barring my pet has all these symptoms pls tell me the medication immediately

Thanks for reaching out about Zulekha. A veterinary visit is recommended as a disease called Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease is a good possibility. This viral disease is potentially contagious to other birds and there is no treatment. A diagnosis needs to be made. Other concerns are liver, renal, polyoma virus, just to list a few. Good luck.
