Why are rawhides still sold in stores if they're not good for my dog?

I am told that raw hides are not good for dogs yet it’s still sold in stores. Can someone expand on this?

Raw hides are not good for dogs, but soda and junk food isn't good for humans, and it's sold in stores anyway. People will feed it to dogs even though it isn't good for them, so that's why it's still being sold. Just like people will go to McDonald's or Burger King. I hope this helps!
