My gerbil has squinted eyes and looks high. What's wrong with him?

Pet's info: Small Animal | Gerbil | Male

I have a two pet gerbils however one of them always has his eyes squinted shut and honestly he looks high like 24/7. The thing is we dont have any drugs nor feed them any drugs to make him act like this would if you can give me an answer it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for reaching out about Gerald and including photos. Squinty eyes can be due to infections or inflammation of the eyes, or even congenital problems. A veterinary visit can assist with the first two. Maintain good nutrition and husbandry. Discontinue any dust baths, if offered. Any chance of an aerosol spray into the eyes. Good luck.
