Why is my senior dog coughing and retching repeatedly, no vomit?

Hey so my dog go is elev n years old just keeps coughing and then trying to vomit and she is doing it over and over again but no vomit is coming out she started doing when I woke up but she could of been doing it all night my other dogs are fine and I’m not sure if I should go to work. Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Female | spayed | 11 years old

Poor Blanket. It could be he has a respiratory infection, but at her age, it could be something more serious such as heart disease. I think it would be a good idea to take her into a vet today to get checked out. Best of luck.
