Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | 7 years and 8 months old
My dog has an eye ulcer and something wrong with her ear. We’ve been give eye ointment and steroids to take down the inflammation in the ear so the vet can have a proper look down it. We have some Metacam and I was wondering if it’s safe to give my dog some while she’s taking the steroids as she’s in pain.

No, it's very dangerous to give an NSAID like Metacam at the same time as a steroid - so I would definitely NOT do this. If you think Romy is painful, I would contact your veterinarian to ask about a different pain medication such as tramadol or gabapentin, which can safely be given with steroids.
