My dog has had a lump on her back since we got her. She's only 3, German Shepard cross. I've had her checked by vet number of times and they said it looks like a cyst. It's has got slightly bigger since I got her last checked, it's gone from one pea size to two. Is it worth taking her back again to get it checked out?

Hi, and thanks for your question. Although a picture of it would help to give you more specific answers, this lump/growth should be ideally examined by your veterinarian to have a definitive diagnosis. Your vet will examine it and possibly perform with an FNA (fine needle aspiration) or a biopsy. Differentials would include skin cyst, infections or benign or malignant type of tumors (very unlikely given her age).
