My teething puppy won't eat kibble, but eats bones. Is he okay?

Hi guys. Asher lost his bottom baby canines last week and he now has his adult canines peeking through the gum line. He won’t eat his kibbles, I suppose it’s because of his teeth but he will eat dog bones (even those he bleeds all over them), his teething toys, etc. I give him the digestive diet wet food but I have to leave it out all day long. I’m worried that because of his teething, he’s not getting enough nutrition. This has been going on since he lost his first canine (1wk & 1/2 ago).

Hello, thank you for using PetCoach. I assure you that Asher is getting enough nutrition. This is normal teething behavior and all puppies go through it. Dogs have to be emaciated/starved in order to be truly deficient nutritionally. I would not worry about it. Usually puppies do like harder things to chew on when teething. Do you have any dry food out for him? If not, I suggest you do that. You can also get him some teething toys to help.
