Vaginal bleeding in a non-cycling female is considered abnormal. If your cat is acting fine otherwise and does not appear to be in distress, this may be something that can wait until tomorrow. However, if you feel the vaginal bleeding is excessive (versus just a red discharge) enough to where blood loss is a true consideration, this is not something that should wait until morning. Hope this helps.

Cats are induced ovulators so they dont have regular periods, they ovulate when they mate. Therefore I feel that there will be another cause for this bleeding. Possibilities would be a bladder infection or damage to the vaginal tract. In some cases masses can cause bleeding but this is less common especially in a young cat. If she is bleeding a lot and in discomfort I would take her to the vet noe, but certainly she will need an appointment within the next 24 hours at least.
