My kitten bites the syringe and won't latch. How do I feed him?

I have a fussy 24 day old kitten that insists on just biting the syringe nipple and not latching on. He'll move his face away when I try to feed him. When he does eat, he'll eat slow little bits, latching intermittently. He's 401g and gaining an average of 9g a day. How do I keep him from wanting to bite the nipple and instead to drink the kmr continuously?

At 3.5 weeks I would recommend weaning her onto semisolid food to allow her to chew rather than suckle. Early weaning is possible from 2 weeks of age. I would recommend royal canin starter mousse initially either from a syringe or spoon
