Sentinel for fleas: Can I use Cap Shield Plus for adult fleas?

I just started taking my two 5 year old Shihtzu to Petco's Mobile Vet in Conroe and they put them on SENTINEL Flavor Tabs and they told me it only killed baby Fleas, can I continue to give them the Cap Sheild Plus also to help with killing the Adult Fleas or can you give me other recomandations?

Hello. I would stop the Cap Shield Plus because it contains lufernon & so does the Sentinel. Lufernon is useful for flea control, but does not kill adult fleas. You can use a similar product just called Capstar, & this can be used daily, if necessary to kill adult fleas. Or, you can administer it as needed if you see fleas. It is safe to give with the Sentinel. You can also use something else to kill your adult fleas & get ticks, such as Frontline Gold, Advantix or even a Seresto Collar to compliment the Sentinel.
