My dog is sad and sleeping more since her puppies left. What's wrong?

My dog gave birth to two puppies months ago...... She was very active with them... But my neighbor gave those pups to someone else..... She now looks silent...... She sleeps most of the time...... Is it because of humidity over here or some other reasons??? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Kali may be showing signs that she misses her puppies - dogs can be emotional and they do understand loss. This will usually resolve over time. If Kali remains lethargic or not acting herself for longer than a week, she should be seen by a veterinarian as another medical issue could be present. I recommend feeding her her usual diet and ensuring she has plenty of water. I hope this is helpful!
