My new mouse has a sore ear and won't let me hold him. What's wrong?

Hi, I just got a mouse and have noticed a few days ago he has got a sore on/in his ear. I’m not too sure what it is or why it’s there so thought I’d ask. I’ve only had him for a week or so and he gets along great with my other mice and seems fine except for his ear. Because I haven’t had him for long I don’t know if he’s tame, he seems to be, but he doesn’t like being held or touched much but he will come greet you. I’m not sure if that’s because his ear hurts or because he just doesn’t like it.

I wouldn't be overly worried about this just yet. I suggest you monitor him to make sure it doesn't worsen or that he doesn't get any more lesions. If he does, then he should see a vet for treatment.
