My dog is crying, won't walk, and has no appetite. What's wrong?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Rottweiler | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 4 months old | 89 lbs

We came home late after a day of fishing and found our 3 year old rottie outside laying in the yard, nub down, no happy your home running and bouncing like usual. She was crying had slittle appetite and didn't want to walk. She followed us in and laid in the floor crying. I immediately gave her benadryl incase of a snake bite but saw no swelling, limping, torn skin, or cries when I squeezed all her bones. We have no clue what happened and can't go to the vet until Monday. ..any ideas?

I'm sorry but her symptoms are too vague. Pretty much anything that can ail a dog could cause those symptoms. My best guess would be that she hurt her back or neck jumping around while you were gone but really, I have no idea. I suggest you get her to a vet as soon as you can for an exam.
