My puppy ate a plastic comb. Why is his poop bloody? What's next?

Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 11 days old | 15 lbs

Good morning! My name is Niki and I was gifted a 15 week old Pembroke welsh corgi about a week ago for my birthday. About 3 days ago he ate the teeth of a small plastic comb. Slowly his bowel movements had went from solid to the picture below. My puppy has not been to the vet yet and I do plan on taking him as soon as possible.

The spots of blood could possibly be related to eating parts of the comb, or could be caused by intestinal parasites or a bacterial or viral infection. I think it would be best to have him checked out by a vet tomorrow, or sooner if he develops vomiting or lethargy.
