Why are my dog's teeth chipped or worn? Is his new food causing it?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 3 years and 2 months old | 20.08 lbs

Why do his teeth look like that? What could’ve caused it? Is a nutrition deficiency? He’s on hills. Was switched to it 3 weeks ago from diamond. We have a vet appt later today. Would just like to know ahead of time

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Boo. He appears to have chipped or worn his teeth. His veterinarian will examine his mouth and determine if treatment is necessary. Broken teeth are typically extracted. If this is the case, not allowing him to chew on hard objects may protect his teeth in the future. I hope this information helps!
