My senior dog is whining, drooling, and restless. Is it a seizure?

Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Poodle | Male | neutered | 8 lbs

Hi, while out of the room, my older mini poodle started whining as if in pain. He was on couch with my other dog( they get along great) so no chance of fighting. I found him on his side whining and with a lot of thick saliva around his mouth. He can’t see nor hear well but usually gets around fine. He’s able to walk and not holding up legs as if hurt. But is wandering around very restlessly as if looking for me when I’m right here. Took him outside and no different (as if he had to go out badly)

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Bailey. I recommend that he see a veterinarian. He could have experienced a seizure and is taking a while to recover. If this is not the case, small breed dogs are prone to neck and/or back pain. This is a potentially serious situation as it can lead to weak or paralysis in certain cases. His veterinarian will be able to guide as far as treatment based on his exam findings. In the meantime, keep him quiet and do not give any over-the-counter pain medications as these can be toxic to dogs. I hope this information helps!
