My unspayed cat won't stop meowing. Is she in heat after moving?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

my cat won’t stop meowing and pretty much yelling almost all the time. She’s been doing it the past three days. She doesn’t seem to be acting weird. I think she’s eating less. She recently moved back in with me and was used to being in a home filled with weed and eight other cats. Every time I seen her around the other cats she didn’t seem to like them at all. But I’m wondering if she could be missing them or going through some sort of withdrawal. She hasn’t been sleeping.

I see that Honey isn't spayed. I suspect she is in heat, and that is causing this behavior. Cats in heat are extremely annoying. If you want this behavior to stop, I would have her spayed. Best of luck.

It just seems like she is in heat, it's normal behavior for unspayed female and it will carry on every few months as long as she is not spayed. if you want to solve this problem, schedule her for a spay surgery with your vet.
