My cat extends neck, low to floor, quiet sound. Hairball or asthma?

My kitty sometimes extendeds his neck, while hes low to the floor and looks like he has a hairball. Never seen a cat do this. Could it be a hairball or something else? He makes a quiet sound cant really explain it. One time he even had his tongue sticking out a little. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 7 lbs

It is very hard to say what may be causing Keanu's symptoms. My best guess would be asthma but there are many other things it could be. I suggest you have him examined by your vet. It would be a good idea to videotape an episode to show your vet as he likely won't do the behavior during the exam.
