Pet's info: Dog | Goldendoodle | Female | unspayed | 7 months old | 32 lbs
My dog has had a behavior change. It seems she doesn’t like our portable AC’s. When we installed them her behavior changed. It’s been two days now and she only wants to be outside in the yard, even napping on the cement. Her appetite and potty habits are normal. She has less energy but she hasn’t slept well at night due to the AC. How do I tell if this is medical or emotional? Even treats don’t really get her inside. No sign of pain or mobility issue. Could this be her first heat? No bleeding ye

Dog's can definitely act strangely around or after the time of their first heat, so I would definitely consider that a possibility. As you also said, it has only been a couple of days with this brand new stuff being introduced that Mabel has to get used to. Unless these sort of behavior changes persist for a week or more or other clinical signs of illness begin to exist, I wouldn't start to worry just yet. If you really want to be careful you can always have your dog checked by a vet to be sure it's stable.
