My cat's eye gunk won't clear up after cleaning. What should I do?

My cat has eye gunk in her right eye and i remove them with a cloth that has a bit of salt and water and I give her a few drops of eye cleanser but it still won’t go. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | 1 month and 18 days old | 66 lbs
