My dog has white discharge in her urine. Is it normal or a problem?

My dog appears to have a white mucus or semen looking blob in her urine. Is this dangerous and what should I do

This could be normal vulvar discharge, but sometimes mucus and cloudy urine can also be seen with a urinary tract infection. If you continue to see mucus, or if Bailey is straining to urinate, urinating more frequently or having accidents in the house I'd recommend seeing your vet for a urine check.

    In the picture it appears like the urine is a little cloudy. However it can be very difficult to base information on a picture. I would recommend taking Susie to a vet to help determine what is the cause of this white material. Dogs can get infection of the vagina, urinary tract infections and even infection of the uterus if she is not spayed. It will depend on her age and other issues she is having. Hope she feels better soon
