My nursing cat's nipple is wounded by kittens. What should I do?

Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Female | unspayed | 3 lbs

My cat gave birth to 5 kittens now she is nursing them.today i noticed one of her nipple is wounded due to sucking .is it ok or do i need to make a time table for her to nurse them

I would keep the kittens from nursing on the wounded nipple as it may cause an infection and is probably painful. If the wound is minor, keeping it clean and free of debris can help, however if the wound is large, growing, or looks infected, it needs to be treated by a vet.
