Pet's info: Dog | Great Dane | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 26 days old
Hey there, I’ve got 4 month old Great Dane an I’m worried he may have parvovirus. I’ve had many pups in the past that have had parvo And have lost a few. My pup has had his 1st injection next one is due in 2 weeks. He is showing some symptoms of parvo but then again he isn’t. Example: he will have blood in his stool 1 day then solid stools right after with no blood this has been happening for 3 weeks now. I keep him on concrete, using bleach 2 times a day to clean the area. I’m so confused.

This sounds more like a possible intestinal parasite problem. Parvovirus is unlikely to have waxing and waning symptoms for 3 weeks. Especially if he is eating well and not vomiting. I would encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian soon. Take a fresh poop sample with you to your appointment. In the meantime feeding a bland diet such as boiled chicken and rice may be helpful. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
