Does an Easy Walk Harness teach dogs to stop pulling for good?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Female | spayed | 7 months and 5 days old | 48 lbs

Going to use a easy walk harness. She pulls on way into dog park and in new situations (off and on pulling not too horrible) would it teach her no pulling ever or just with it on? I read it’s on of the tools that are actually helpful in loose leash walking. I already taught her the leash needs to be loose to go forward and she listens fairly well.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! In my opinion the harness helps with pulling. I actually have one for my dog. I think the muzzle gentle leader is better. The harness doesn’t prevent my dog from trying to pull with a loose leash. I think it is dog and training dependent on whether you can walk loosely with the leash. It sounds like it might be the trick for Sienna. I wish you the best!
