Kitten has bare fur patch. Should I cover it to avoid infection?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Bobtail | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 8 days old | 5 lbs

My kitten has a patch of fur missing. I’m not sure if my other kitten did the damage to her. But it looks pretty bare. Should I cover it up or let it breathe? I really don’t want it to get an infection. I included two pictures of you the wound and one photo of my cats sizes. The calico kitten is the one that’s hurt. If you help me in anyway it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what it is but for the time being if it doesn't seem to bother her i would recommend leaving it opened, just monitor it to make sure it doesn't get any worse or doesn't start to look infected.
