Injured newborn kitten bleeding and still. Is he dying? What can I do?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 day old | 1lb

I have a kitten that was just born yesterday. One of the other adult cats tried to take him out and injuried him. He was spitting out little bits of blood but now he is laying very still. Is he dying or is there anything I can do?

There is not much you can do medically. Please keep him with the mother to stay warm and see if he is able to nurse. Kittens that get cold and don't nurse get weak quickly and can die. If he's nursing and warm he could recover if the injury isn't severe. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to care for your kitten Ollie.
