My dog isn't eating, acting weird after vet visit, high creatinine?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 7 years and 1 month old | 13 lbs

My dog (female, indian pom,7 years old) has slight high creatinine level, and has not been eating for two weeks now. We had a vet visit today after which she is acting totally crazy like running around continuously with scared tail for 5hours now,or sitting in the lap (which she has never done in her life span), standing continuously!!!! Need some advice as I cannot judge what or why is it happening

Poor Bubbles! There are so many things that can cause these things. An elevated creatinine level could be secondary to true kidney issues or dehydration or other illnesses. I would have your vet do a urinalysis on her to see how well her urine is concentrated. If it isn't directly related to the kidneys I would be looking for other things that can affect the kidneys like dehydration, leptospirosis, addison's disease, etc. I would also have your vet check her fecal for any parasites. Your vet should also be able to do x-rays to ensure there isn't a blockage or tumor in her abdomen. I hope this helps!
