Can my healthy dog eat Royal Canin Satiety weight management food?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Labrador | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 1 month old | 90 lbs

I am using royal canin satiety weight management for my labrador who is a bit more in weight. I have another country dog which is quite fit and doesnot need weight loss. Can I give her the same food (royal canin satiety) or should I go for some other food ?

Hello. You can use the same food for your other dog, but you may need to feed a bit more to her. It is easier to feed everyone the same food, but if both dogs eat their meals separately & nothing is left down, then you can also feed the other dog something else less costly. It is totally up to you since the Royal Canin diet is a complete diet. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

Yes, you can but the thinner dog needs to eat more. It may be more economical to use another food for her though. I would stick with the same brand and food you were giving before since she's maintaining her weight on that. thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for your dogs.
