Is it safe for my 35lb dog to eat petite Greenies for 5-15lb dogs?

Is it ok to give my 35lb dachshund-pitbull mix the petite greenies? Says intended for 5-15lb dogs. I got them as a gift when he was a puppy but obviously couldn’t give it to him then and he has not outgrown them! Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 6 months and 19 days old | 20 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Greenies have a risk of causing esophageal foreign bodies. I recommend following the size recommendations to be safe. Unless you can break them in to bite size pieces. I would worry if he would try to swallow the greenie whole. If he chews them slowly then try one and watch him closely. I hope this helps!
