My indoor bunny found a bug. How can I tell if it bit them?

Poor LittleKing! I would keep an eye on the area as the hair loss could just be due to irritation from the bite. If you start to notice increasing hair loss, dirt or debris building up at the site, swelling, visible wounds, etc, then this could indicate that the area is infected. If you suspect an infection or the area isn't healing/is getting worse, it would be best to bring LittleKing to your vet to have the area cleaned, clipped and a course of antibiotics started as needed.

A common problem in rabbits is a misalignment of the teeth causing the teeth to become overgrown instead of grinding down when chewing. Otherwise she may have something else going on affecting her ability to chew or take in food. I would advise your vet take a look at her and trim her teeth if they are misaligned. They can also assess her physically and let you know what else could be going on. She may have parasites also since she is outside which that could be taken care of with a good dewormer. Usually if a pet is going to have an ectoparasite (parasite that lives on the pet's skin/fur), it will be on the pet itself and not out in the environment/on the floor. I would recommend getting a fine tooth comb and using it to look over your rabbit carefully. Based on the photo you provided it is possible this is a tiny baby cockroach (if you google search baby roaches you may find some similar looking bugs). Mites would be too small to see with the naked eye and lice have a different body shape. If you don't feel you can look through your rabbit's fur carefully/closely enough, a vet exam is never a bad idea!

If you see swelling, warmth to the touch, extreme redness, and pus, have him seen by a vet. Should it not get better or gets bigger, also have him seen by a vet. Keep the area clean and dry. I'm sorry but without seeing these bugs there is not much I can tell you other than they may be lice. This is the only bug I can think of that may be white and that you can actually see with the naked eye. I strongly suggest you get Binky to your vet for an exam. They will be able to tell you what she has and what is the best treatment for her and for her hutch/environment.

It's very difficult to check for mites, when such an itching problem occurs the first thing that should be done is treating her for a possible mite infestation, i would recommend to take her to the vet ASAP, the treatment is usually by injection and it requires 3 sets of treatment 1 week apart.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This depends on how deep it appears to be. If it is just a superficial scratch and it appears that the bleeding already resolved, you may continue to monitor it. If at some point a discharge develops and it appears to be getting infected, have him examined then. You may clean the area with soapy water. However, if it seems deep, have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. It is hard to know for sure without being able to see it though I hope this is helpful. He/she can perform a full physical exam and look for evidence of soft tissue or skeletal injury and treat accordingly, if needed. You should take Buggs to the vet as the bite wound will get infected, he will need an antibiotic course in order to get better. depending on the size of the wound your vet might recommend having it sutured.

You need to take Nibbles into a vet immediately. He could have suffering internal injuries from this attack, and cat bites frequently become infected. Bunnies are very stoic and will hide their pain very well because they are prey animals. Even though he's acting normally, he likely will be hurting from this attack and he needs veterinary attention now. Do not put any more hydrogen peroxide on his wounds as it actually damages the tissues and interferes with wound healing. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.
