I misread a dose of Benadryl and my vet is closed today. I accidentally gave my 25lb puppy 2 25mg Benadryl pills. She’s currently asleep. She’s breathing normally and she’s responsive if I try to wake her. She seems fine but I’m so worried that I might have hurt her liver. Is a one time dose of this much something I should be concerned about or am I just a new parent?

Benadryl (diphenhydramine) has a published range of 1-2 mg/lb, so Bunny should be fine other than a bit of lethargy/sleepiness. A one time dose should not cause any lasting harmful effects. It is always recommended to consult your veterinarian before medicating your pet, especially a young dog.
