Why is my puppy panting excessively and not eating his dog food?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 19 days old

My question is that he pants more the usual now, maybe because it's a getting hotter now, I'm not sure, but even at night when is cold he still pants a lot. He drinks his water now he's been hardly eating his food now for the past 4 days, but when given human food he will swallow it whole(sarcastically.) I'm not sure what the cause of it is, any help please?

I would recommend taking Gohan to the veterinarian. It is very concerning when a puppy is breathing hard or panting and not eating as well as he used to. He needs a good physical examination to see what is going on with him. I hope Gohan feels better soon and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
