Why is my vaccinated Shih Tzu puppy sneezing after playing with dogs?

Hi, i have a 3 month old shih tzu. He received his 2nd booster and kennel cough on march 29. He was recently playing with our friends dog on April 1st and he has been sneezing since. Should i be concerned? Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | unneutered | 3 months old | 5.5 lbs

There is a possibility that your dog picked up some kennel cough even though he was vaccinated 5 days ago. The body has not had time enough to make antibodies. However, the sneezing could also be from dry air, dust in the air or a general upper respiratory condition. I would take Oreo's temperature and if it is more than 102.5F I would take him to a vet for an exam. If there is no fever, monitor for lethargy, not eating, not drinking, possibly a cough and, again, if these occur, see the vet. Otherwise, Oreo should be fine,
