My neutered dog has prostate pain. Could a tumor grow this fast?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 41 lbs

In January prostate enlarged according to ultrasound and x-ray so castrated end of January.2 weeks ago he started having urine accidents.2 weeks of trimethroprime and ultrasound showed enlarged prostate and cavities.today he is in pain slight fever and prostate is very swollen only on left side.he has been acting quite confused and a little lethargic over the past week.ultrasound and x-ray tomorrow.vet thinks tumour.could a prostate tumour grow in 2 weeks?

YEs, many tumours can grow at an alarming rate and could cause the sudden onset of signs you describe. The further investigations will shed more light as cysts and abscesses can also form resulting in pain and infection but I would be concerned that there may be a cancer component here
