How to give FortiFlora probiotic with water if my pet won't eat it?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Spitz | Male | unneutered | 10 months and 27 days old | 7 lbs

Is it ok to administer forti flora probiotic mixed with water orally with syringe. Does forti flora mixed with water have the same effect as when mixed with food. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! You can mix it with a little water to add to the food. Or mix it well in canned food. ideally it should be one the food. I can't imagine it changes how it works if you put it in a syringe with water if you immediately administer it. If it sits in water it may not be effective. I would first try it mixed in food or canned food. Use the water and syringe if that fails. I hope this helps!
