My 7 yr old standard poodle hurt his front leg 4/1. He holds his foot off the ground. I originally thought he got stung, as there were a lot of bees out the day before. He initially felt some pain, but not long. I could move his leg and joints around and press on his foot/wrist area to check for swelling without complaint. (There is a little swelling.) Yesterday, 4/2, he ran along the fence. He wanted me to throw his ball for him. Doesn't seem to feel pain, but still swollen. A sting?

Hi there! I’m a fellow standard poodle owner too! Is he still limping at all? If he is limping then I would limit his activity and encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian. If the limping has resolved but there is still some mild swelling then a sting or an object such as a thorn etc may be causing the swelling. If it doesn’t seem to improve and decrease on a daily basis then he should be seen. Best of luck and I hope he is back to normal soon! Thank you for using Pet Coach.
