My dog is in a coma. Is recovery possible and what are the chances?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Can a dog who is in a coma not responding well be saved. Are they like us?

Unfortunately, most dogs that are in a coma are not very likely to come out of it. If there is no change in 24-48 hours and depending on the cause, I would consider his/her quality of life. I would talk to the vet that is working on this dog and see what his/her chances are depending on what his/her vitals and bloodwork look like. I hope this helps and that baby pulls through.
