My dog has a sore tooth and is in pain. How can I calm him down?

My has a sore tooth, he keeps whining, running around the house and trying to plant the right side of his face into the ground (the side his bad tooth is on), what can I do to get him to calm down

It sounds like this tooth is really hurting Meatball! The only way to get him to calm down is to have this tooth treated, and to administer pain medications. Unfortunately there are no OTC pain medications you can give, many human ones are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. I would take him into a vet today for this problem, from your description of his behavior, he is showing you he is in a lot of pain and is very uncomfortable. This is not something that should wait to be treated. Please take him into a vet now, best of luck!
