Can I combine my cat's multiple glaucoma eye drops to reduce stress?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year old | 11 lbs

If my cat was prescribed dorzolimide three times daily and timolol twice daily for glaucoma , would I be able to use the combination timolol and dorzolimide drops as opposed to 2 seperate drops? He is also on prednisolone drops. Having so many drops stresses him out as he hates them and I was thinking if I could combine those 2 it may be easier.

The general answer to your question is yes. The caveats are that Timolol comes in 2 different strengths, so you need to make sure that the combination product is the same strength that he is currently gettting. The other thing you need to discuss with your veterinarian is that since he is getting Dorzolamide 3 times a day and Timolol only twice daily is if you will still need to keep a separate bottle of Dorzolamide for the 3rd daily dosing. I hope that was helpful and answered your question. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
