Nala is going into heat and is obsessively licking our other dog Bently. She only does this obsessive licking when she is about to be in heat (we think). He won’t leave her side either; going outside to pee or even laying down in the house. It’s cute at first until she starts licking him ALL OVER his back and head. He looks like he got a bath but smells like dog saliva. How do I make her stop? Besides separating them with a kennel.

You cannot make her stop licking him, as this is a natural instinct. You could put a T-shirt on Bently, or put a basket muzzle on Nala. However, the best way would be to separate them, e.g. let them roam in separate areas of the house, or one in the house, the other outside, and then switch after a few hours.
