Is it safe for my dog with AIHA to take multiple medications together?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered

Hi, my dog was diagnosed with AIHA last year, he has had another flare up and after a blood transfusion is now on lots of medication, preedincare, imuran and mycophenolate, plus asprin, omeprazole and an antibiotic. Is all of this medication OK to take together? Thanks.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It is ok to use them together though these are typically used together temporarily and then some of them will be weaned off to hopefully at some point be off medications. I really hope that everything gets better on this protocol. Good luck and all the best!
